Can a Texan get into Oklahoma college

Can a Texan get into Oklahoma college?
I was born in oklahoma but moved to texas when I was younger and I now attend a Texas high school, is it possible for me to attend an Oklahoma college? (Mainly OSU) My grades and SAT score are above the minimum for getting in, and I have enough grants and whatnot.

You can attend any school you want to. You'll just have to pay out of state tuition

You sure can -- half the students at OSU are from Texas.
3 :
Yes, but you'll pay out-of-state tuition.

Yep, others are correct- its the us, you can go anywhere you so wish, but you then have to pay the out of state fees (twice the cost) to do so- so if its worth that to you then go. I thought it was for me, but it wasnt (my wallet cries every month when my loan bill is due and its double what my friends from the state have to pay for the same degree you can get in Texas). You CANT get in state tuition in OK- just an FYI, no matter if you were born there or not, etc, unless you somehow marry or have a child while there.

I have known several people who have been students at this school. Normally, I am against any form of "private" education but for this this school I make an exception. I've never heard a bad thing about the academic programs. Once I heard some students complaining campus police were being picky about where they put their parking permit stickers. But if thats the worst of it, then I'd say go for it. I've been told it's tough, but fair and worth it. I'd recommend a tour of the school and a looksy into the actual program you are interested in before you just "show up" though. If you are not from around Tulsa. Good luck.

Spartan is not in the same league as Embry Riddle, but it is a reputable school to graduate quickly from if that is what you are looking for. I do not know if you are looking into being a pilot, a mechanic, NDT or a avionics technician, all of which you will be able to receive training for at Spartan. If you are looking at getting your A&P, there are cheaper ways to go and some of them are just as short. Look for a local community college that offers an 18 mo. A&P program. It will be much cheaper. If you are looking to be a pilot, there are reputable places with larger fleets and a better quality of life experience while going to school. Embry Riddle will have more of a college feel to it (same as LeTourneau University in Longview, Tx) whereas Spartan still has a "technical school" feel. I am a graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics back in 1983. I have been working for a major airline ever since as a mechanic and now an inspector. Spartan does have lifetime employment placement help, but I have never had to use it (knock on wood).

Is the University of Oklahoma a good college

Is the University of Oklahoma a good college?
I'm at a community college right now. The University of Oklahoma is one of several colleges I'm thinking of transfering to. I'm majoring in Art and minoring in visual art. Is this a good school for art majors? What other schools would you recommend?

There are a lot of different schools and there are many good choices. I'm not sure the University of Oklahoma is one of them. The school's art department is not accredited by the national organization that oversees schools that offer the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The schools with links I provided are terrific art and design schools, just not close to home which can prove difficult. But if you go for it you'll be glad you did. Savannah College of Art and Design and the Rhode Island School of Design are among the very best in the country. Good Luck!
