You have to get approval from the unemployment office. You can receive unemployment and attend school, provided that you are still willing and able to accept any full-time job. If most jobs that you qualify for are shift work -- then you could attend school during the day and apply for evening or night jobs. If most of the jobs that you qualify for are day jobs, then you'll need to only take evening or online classes. If you continue seeking and accept full-time work, then you will not be eligible for UI while going to school.

For the last 7 years, hasn't Oklahoma been one of the most overrated teams in college football?
Every year, Oklahoma has a hyped up recruiting class. They're gonna always do wonders and thunders. And yet every year, under the leadership of the "great" Bob Stoops, they always seem to find a way to choke. Their QB is going to be another NFL bust (if he even makes it.) They have athletes, but nothing that stands out. Why is it that every year they're going to be one of the best in the end?

Can I get out of jury duty in Oklahoma county if I am a college student?
I have tests and, of course, class during the week I was summoned. I can't afford to miss class really, much less a test. Has anyone been called recently in OK county who was a student and gotten out of it?

jury duty is part of being a american citizen.

The initial summons is for a jury pool, from which future juries are called. You will have a hard time getting out of that one, but may be able to avoid particular juries .

You can get out of serving on a jury, but not getting out of jury duty. You can also postpone it to a time that's better for you. If you go to jury duty, and get inside a courtroom, just tell the judge that you can't serve on a jury because of your studies. You'll most likely be asked about your schedule and why you can't serve, so be prepared to explain in detail WHY you can't miss class. And, most likely, you'll be dismissed and be exempt for a year, but it's up to the judge.
