Frankly, I can't imagine any state that doesn't. If you want funding for college, you must complete a FAFSA which requires documentation, and schools need to see your birth certificate and such. You can sometimes get away with going to elementary, middle, and high school if you're undocumented, but good luck going to college. In order to get into a college, you will need massive amounts of false documentation, which in a post 9/11 era can get you locked up in the federal system for a nice long time (assuming that they suspect you might be a terrorist) or just outright deported. You're better off going back to your country of citizenship, applying to colleges from there, and trying to get a student visa.

None

All colleges in every states nowadays require everyone to show their legal status in US. US Citizenship, Green card, or F1 Student visa to enroll to colleges.

Free College Tuition in Oklahoma schools

Free College Tuition in Oklahoma schools?
A mom told me that she knew Native Americans who went to Oklahoma colleges and/or universities got free tuition. Is this still true today? If so how would I receive it?

unless you get a full scholarship like any other student could get for academics or sports, there is no such thing as free college. there are specific schlarships for native students but unless you are an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe, you don't qualify. other funding comes from the tribe the student is enrolled in. ETA: to the fake dylan below....if you were smart enough to even be allowed to go to college you would know that tuition is not the total cost of attending. in fact its a small portion. stop showing your stupidity.

A mom told you something that wasn't true. And if you were a Native American you would know the deal. Or, you would contact your tribal admin office to get more information on tribal assistance. By the way, I heard that American citizens got "free college." Something like the Pell Grant or something like that. You should check that out as well, before it gets totally cut.

No we do not get free college. As you can see, I have a troll shadowing me and posting racist bull shit all over.

With that GPA and a high ACT you should be able to get a scholarship with a private college. My daughter got a half scholarship for being accepted into the Honors College. which you may be able to do. You got to apply to several schools- in state and private, and out of state and see where you get in and if you get a scholarship, fill out FAFSA and see what financial aid package you get before you decide where to go

Simple! Go to a community college and enter their Honors Program (if they have one). Usually being in a school like that lets you transfer out with your A.A. and by that time you not only have the hang of university/college life, but you also know how to go about getting money and depending on your school, your GPA, your field of study, and the people you know, you might even be eligible for an internship somewhere! At that rate, you only have 2 years of college left and you can spend them wherever you like! Consider joining PTK because they actually have a transfer scholarship. Furthermore, many schools have an articulation agreement with certain schools to accept you and your credits as a Junior for certain programs. =) Speak to a knowledgeable adviser about this! =) Hope this helps!

Well I'm not sure what part of Oklahoma your from, and I'm not from Oklahoma.. so I really can't give you the best ideal for it... but I did google and searched. http://education.ou.edu/studentservices/early_childhood/ and here's some more colleges you can look into: http://www.collegeview.com/collegesearch/state/oklahoma.html http://www.50states.com/cc/okla.htm http://www.50states.com/college/okla.htm

I live in Oklahoma and am majoring in Early Childhood Education. I'm currently attending a community college but am transferring to NSU (Northeastern State University) in Broken Arrow next fall. They have a wonderful program, one of the best compared to the other major universities in Oklahoma. I know many people who have graduated with that degree from NSU and I've only heard great things about it. Wouldn't hurt to check it out. I'm not sure what part you are from, but when attending NSU and a couple other select colleges, you can join a program called "Scholars for Excellence in Childcare" and with your major they will pray 80% of your tuition and 100% of your book through a bachelors. It's a great deal and it has helped me a lot. They will also work with you if you have pall grants or other forms of financial help. If you have any questions feel free to email me. =)
