Do you think college football fans have a lack of respect for Oklahoma

Do you think college football fans have a lack of respect for Oklahoma?
OU has lost in its past 2 National Championship games and has a 4 game losing streak in BCS bowl games is that the main reason why you think OU will lose because teams can change dramatically over a year

No I would say that most expect OU to lose because Florida is a better team and comes from a better conference. Simple as that.
2 :
Absolutely not---OU has one of the best football programs in the country and if anything the 2 bowl suspension during the Switzer era was your teams darkest hour. Everyone knows that some of the greatest players in history have come out of OU including my favorite collegiate RB ever, Billy Sims. He held all of OU's rushing records until AP came along and shattered them and we all know HE is definitely history in the making. You guys run the ball likes nobody's business and I hope you have a good showing in the NC.

Personally, I think OU gets too much respect when it comes to college football. Ask UT fans, they would say they should have played Missouri to go the NC. I think they are good, but they tend to underestimate their opponents. If you think about it, they played Boise St and WVU. They should have beaten those two teams easily. Boise St isn't a BCS team, and WVU had a coach change. I think OU is very good this year. They offense is spectacular, but I don't think they have played against a defense as strong and fast as UF.

People seem to respect Ohio State less, and they are 4-2 in BCS bowl games. People in the SEC always think everyone else in the country is overrated. They waited 35 games in early 2000, but when Miami finally lost, they couldn't wait to scream overrated. No one seems to respect any team anymore. Overrated is heard constantly. There hasn't been a team in the last 20 years that at least half the country didn't call overrated.

I'm a big-time OU fan, but OU's failures in the past 4 bcs bowls have made me very negative about their chances in this one. 1. OU apparently has a problem in their bowl prep. (players stealing coats?!)2. OU's defense and special teams are bad. Defense is a D+ and special teams is an F-. 3. In the past years, (like last year) for example, OU's players have had other things on their minds other than their opponent. Malcolm Kelly, and Reggie Smith both could have and should have played in the fiesta bowl but neither did because they didn't want to mess up their draft possibilities. I am TOTALLY convinced of this. 4. I believe that sometimes the OU coaches underevaluate the opponent in their bowl prep. As for this BCS championship game, I just believe that OU's defense and special teams will cause this to be a blowout for Florida. Like it or not my OU bretheren, OU's defense isn't very good and will be exposed badly in the NC game. One predicition for the game: Florida will not have to punt.
6 :
It's not that most fans have no respect for them, but a few fans (and media guys like Mark May) just really hate them. I think the National Championship game will be a good game, OU might not win because Florida is a great team, but they'll play well. The problems OU has had recently are in games where they are favored. It seems that when OU is supposed to win big, Stoops doesn't do a great job of motivating them. This year everyone in the media is saying they don't deserve to be there and OU is given little chance of winning. In those situations, Stoops always has them playing great.
7 :
OU is one of the classiest schools and football programs in the country. Ask anyone. The only reason anyone would have "lack of respect" for Oklahoma is because they're bitter about losing to them. They're not going to lose.

Contact the school and tell them you're withdrawing from the school. Oklahoma Wesleyan is a good school. What are you doing there in the first place, besides wasting the faculty's time and space... With your attitude, you can easily get you a wonderful McJob...get used to it, cos with no further education, that's about all you've got to look forward to.
2 :
i dont think you will ever like that school, and you seem to pretty much have your mind made up. transfer. your parents would probably be happier that you moved closer to home, and if you're happy in your college environment you'll do better. sometimes the first place you go to isnt exactly right, dont waste any more time or money in a place that you dont want to be. there are great colleges everywhere, and if you go to school in Lousiana you can probably get reduced tuition for being a state resident.

I went to the web site. Pretty heavy duty "Jesus is Lord" thing. But you know those televangelists don't do too bad with the gals, every other day it seems one of them is busted.... Finish the semester and then withdraw. Do your exams, get your grades, and get totally blitzed after your last exam, but whatever you do, don't get behind the wheel of a car or get in one with a drunk driver. Wesleyan in Bartlesville is accredited so your courses should transfer. We're only talking about another eight weeks or so, man. Do it this way and the credits should be transferable to another university, no money lost, you'll be one semester into a degree elsewhere. Treat yourself to some movies, stay sober while classes are in session, and try seeing whether you have what it takes to pull some good grades out of this university. Although there are plenty of schools that are not run by Christians (think about LSU), I would suggest that you think about a school where it is fashionable to STUDY. Are you strong enough to THINK? As a final point, please stop feeling sorry for yourself. You're quite fortunate to have a family that is helping you through school. If you stopped moping long enough to look around for a nice (not excessively Christian) GIRL to be lonely with you might discover....you weren't so lonely. Try coffeehouses and the library and stay out of the dorm except for sleeping. Most schools have course exchange and library privileges at other schools and you probably could take a course at, borrow books at, or go hang at another campus if you look into it. If your parents are pushing you into the Jesus is Lord college thing then maybe it's time to make your own way in the world and find a community college. Anyhow Tulsa is only 20 miles away so figure out a way to get into town if there's nowhere to hang in Bartlesville. There are several universities in Tulsa where you can go hang and there will be nearby coffeehouses, or student unions on campus. Your school might even offer bus service to the ones with bigger libraries. Depending on how lame it is. While you are at one of these schools you might drop in to the admissions department, ask for an interview, and see if you have what it takes. Laura ps. I have to sympathize. OK is where they keep trying to ban the teaching of evolution in the school systems and you are in what is certifiably the most whacky state of this great union. But it's a lot less difficult than a tour of duty in Iraq.
