Have her go to DHS to see what her options are. She can get her children on SoonerCare Insurance and depending on the ages of the children may be eligible for WIC. What really sucks is that if she's in school, she won't qualify for food stamps unless she's working at least 20 hours a week (but if she were to quit school and sit on her butt, she'd be eligible). Depending on where she lives, there is other help. I know in my town there is an outreach center that will allow her to pick up clothing, household items, and even food for little or no cost. Many schools also have a backpack program during the summer for food as well. I know she's trying to better herself and I applaud her for it, but she might be better off getting a full-time job and taking night school or online classes, as sucky as that sounds.

Is there a punchline to this?
2 :
Usually the school/team has a special deal w/ Nike...best thing you can do is go to the nike store online and see if you can order them in the colors...
3 :
The school pays for them as part of the teams' uniforms!

Who is a Good College Algebra instructor @ TCC (Tulsa, Oklahoma)

Who is a Good College Algebra instructor @ TCC (Tulsa, Oklahoma)???
I was a whiz at high school algebra, got a 32 on my ACT in math, but I have failed college algebra 3 times!!. I have had the worst instructors ever. my last class everyone but 2 students withdrew it was so bad!! I need a referral on good professor at TCC (Tulsa Community College) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Someone who can teach and doesnt just look to show off what they know! Thank you I do study, I am not kidding when I say the professors could not have been more confusing. The first one I had was actually let go after SEVERAL compaints. He offered "extra credit" during his office hours for certain students not others. I also work a full time job, and while I am not working or taking care of my son or my father. I am studying, I have always finished out the semester, tried everything except hiring a tutor, being that I can not afford one right now. Please helpful answers only

32 ?? u can take tests but too lazy to study.....grow up.....the instructor still gives u a grade whether u like them or not....
2 :
an important resource.... look at the course schedule and write down the names of all of the teachers that teach the class you need to take. go to ratemyprofessor.com, go to the TCC page, and read the students' ratings of those professors. it's amazing.
3 :
Check out www.ratemyprofessors.com. It's a site for students to post comments and ratings about professors. Look up your school and search the math department for professors that are well-liked by students. Read the comments and make sure the prof sounds like someone you can work with. Good luck!

I think that in Oklahoma, the best University would have to be the University of Tulsa.

We have an excellent program here in Kansas. In fact, we have the National Teachers Hall of Fame here. Tuition for KS residents is only $1,700 pre semester, I don't know about outta state, but we have alot of out of state education majors. Check it out...it's a teachers college. emporia.edu

The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) has an excellent reputation in their school of education. They have some of the highest scores on the OGET, OSAT, and OPTE. I graduated from there with a degree in education and I thought that the classes were great. It's not very expensive and the classes are small...some only had about 10 people in them. I highly suggest checking it out. http://www.ucok.edu is their address.

Most teachers in the Tulsa area went to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. http://www.neoam.edu
